Tuesday Broken cloud and some showers around this morning. Most showers affecting western Scotland and western Ireland. This afternoon sees increasing cloud with heavy and thundery showers, these focused through central and northern England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. The showers thundery at times. Fewer showers in southern England, although even here there could be a heavy one. Best sunshine in southwest England. Highs at 13 to 19C.
Tuesday Night Further showers tonight over western coasts and hills overnight. Drier in central and eastern areas with broken cloud here. Showers too in western Ireland and western Scotland. Lows at 4 to 7C.
Wednesday A westerly flow remains on Wednesday. The cloud is broken again with sunny spells. Morning showers over western coasts and hills. These showers developing more widely inland as the day progresses, a few of them heavy over high ground. Drier places too, especially eastern Scotland and northeast England. Highs at 13 to 19C.
Thursday A ridge of high pressure bringing a fair morning with good spells of sunshine, the best in the north and east. Increasing cloud through Ireland and western areas of the British Isles bringing rain. The afternoon sees more cloud and rain or drizzle in much of Ireland, Wales and southern and central England. Dry in northern and eastern Scotland as well as eastern England. Highs at 14 to 17C.
