Dry and fair for most, rain Scotland and Northern Ireland
A cold front in northwest Scotland will be bringing rain here this morning. The rain affecting western Ireland too. Other areas of the UK and Ireland will be dry although with a fair amount of cloud. This breaks and some bright or sunny spells will be developing.
This afternoon stays dry for much of England and Wales although with increasing cloud in the north. Scotland may well see the rain becoming heavy in central and southern areas as it slips into northwest England by evening. Dry and bright further south, more sunny spells here. Tending to turn brighter in northwest Scotland. Mild south, cooler far northwest.
Tonight becomes dry as rain clears east. Clearer skies developing and a risk of a frost by the morning.
