Drier than of late

The day will start mostly dry and bright, particularly over central and southern England. Scattered showers will develop later over most parts, though most will be light. The odd heavy one is possible over East Anglia. Highs of 22°C in the southeast and 14°C in the northwest.

Most showers will clear through the evening, with some remaining over northwestern Scotland, where a longer spell of rain is expected overnight. Minimum temperatures at 14C in south and 10C in north.
