Windy in places

An area of low pressure will bring frequent showers across Ireland, Wales, and southwest England, some turning heavy. Further north, strong northwesterly winds will develop, giving widespread showers over northern Scotland. Highs around 14°C in the south and 10°C in the north.

Showers will gradually clear southwards through the evening and night, becoming confined to northern coasts and areas around the Irish Sea. Breezy with a chilly feel. Lows near 4°C in the north and 8°C in the south.
