Becoming warm and dry although back to rain next week in Scotland and Ireland

Higher pressure is going to be building over the coming days. This promises a spell of significantly warmer weather for most areas with some good spells of sunshine. Probably turning cloudier and wet again in Scotland and Ireland early next week, although remaining fine across many Central, eastern and southern areas of England and Wales.

Friday 12/6/26
Pressure will be building across the south of the British Islands on Friday. However, front through Northern Ireland, northern England and Scotland, he's going to be responsible for plenty of clout across much of the country. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle along the front. There could be extensive low cloud and some fog affecting western facing coasts and hills. Turning brighter in the afternoon in central and southern England as well as Scotland but remaining cloudy with some outbreaks of rain in northern England and parts of Ireland. Highs at 16 to 23C in the fresh west wind.


Saturday 13/6/26
High pressure over the south on Saturday with a ridge extending through all areas. A front bringing some outbreaks of rain in Northern Ireland and Scotland. Sunshine and warm in the south. Highs at a muggy 20C in Scotland, 28C in southern England.

 
 
 


Sunday 14/6/26
High pressure is over the British Isles on Sunday. This brings a warm and fair day with lots of sunshine, although there may be some low cloud affecting western coasts. Some drizzle in north-west Scotland. Highs at 15C in northern Scotland, 29C in southern England.


 


Monday 15/6/26
High pressure remains over much of the country with very warm sunshine, although a risk of drizzle affecting western coasts. Further drizzle in western Scotland and western Ireland. Highs at 23 to 29C for most but 15C in northern Scotland.



 
 
 


Tuesday 16/6/26
Low pressure north of Scotland on Tuesday. This gives rain to Scotland with cloud and some showery rain in Ireland. Dry for England and Wales with the best sunshine in central and eastern areas. Highs at 19C in Ireland, 21C in southern Scotland, 29C in eastern England.

Wednesday 17/6/26
Low pressure stays north of Scotland on Wednesday. A front brings more outbreaks of rain to Scotland and Ireland with low cloud over windward facing coasts and hills. Western Wales and the coasts of southwest England could have low cloud too. Broken cloud for others with bright or sunny spels, the best in central and eastern England. Highs at 16C in Scotland, 27C in southern England.
