Plenty of dry weather and sunshine, warm at first then turning cooler later in the week
Plenty of dry weather through this week as high pressure stays in control of conditions. There will be some warm sunshine at first, although turning a little cloudier and cooler in the second half of the week and into the weekend. A risk of overnight frosts in some areas during the weekend and early next week.

Thursday 1/5/25 High pressure west of Ireland on Thursday. Some cloud through much of England and Wales, although this breaking. Bits of rain in northern England, the Midlands, Wales and then southern England. Another band of cloud through Ireland and southern Scotland. Tending to be brighter in the rest of Scotland, some heavy showers in the northwest. Turning cooler in Scotland and Northern Ireland at 10 to 15C, still warm for England, Wales and southern Ireland at 20 to 26C.
Friday 2/5/25 High pressure remains on Friday. Cloud may develop in the far south of England with some in northwest Scotland. Elsewhere fair with lots of sunshine and dry too. Highs at 23C in southern England, 11C in northwest Scotland.
Saturday 3/5/25 High pressure stays west of Scotland on Saturday. A weak front moving south through Scotland bringing cloud and some patchy rain. There is a risk of a weak front in southwest England could give some drizzle here. Elsewhere fine and dry. Highs at 12C in northern Scotland, up to 20C for others.
Sunday 4/5/25 Pressure remains high on Sunday. Some low cloud could affect eastern coasts as an east to northeast flow becomes established. Cloud and some rain in the far southwest of England. Best sunshine in the west and dry overall too. Highs at a cooler 10C on eastern coasts, 12C in southwest England, 14 to 15C elsewhere.
Monday 5/5/25 Pressure stays high through Monday. The easterly flow may bring some more cloud through central, eastern and southern England at first. Sunshine and dry further north and west, although some patchy rain in the far southwest of England again. Highs at 9C along eastern coasts, 17C in the south and west.
Tuesday 6/5/25 A chilly and mostly dry day for Tuesday. Northerly winds bringing a few showers to northern and eastern coasts of Scotland and England. Some rain in the far southwest of England. Tending to be dry and bright for others. The chance of a morning frost. Highs at 7 to 14C.
